About JL&M Home Rentals

Our family has been involved in the real estate business in some form or fashion since 1956. Our parents envisioned one day of building a property that would provide a much-needed home for the family business “Naomi’s TV Auto Radio Service” and while at the same time provide a place to raise a family. Well, their dream became a reality when this building opened in 1958. The family business operated in the commercial space and my brother and I were raised in apartment #2 and we rented apartment #3. While today, we have acquired other properties, this gem represents where it all began and our course it gets all the love and attention that it truly deserves.

Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. Our goal is to make it a worry free relaxing experience while visiting our nations capital. This property was built in 1958. This is a mixed use property. The building has a commercial suite on the front of the building and two separate apartments in the rear of the building. Inside each apartment you will find two- three bedrooms and two baths. You will discover that each apartment has a full size washer/dryer, spacious living room and separate dining room with an accordion door should one wishes to separate themselves from the living room area. Each apartment also has a private balcony. Truly a hidden gem within the neighborhood. Guest will have full access to the entire apartment. No sharing living arrangement with others outside your family. Once you get settled in, we will reach out to check on you. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us. Welcome to historic Green Valley community. Here you will find Charles Drew Elementary school, two parks which one which has a playground/water sprinkler (summer only), bike ride share, bike trial and great food in nearby Shirlington Village. There are also three local churches, (with fourth one under construction) all within walking distance of the property. Guest can best get around best car, which is why we provide free parking onsite for up-to 2 vehicles. We have had past guests that use the metro bus (which stops are walking distance to the property) to get to the subway station. The closest subway station to our property is the Crystal City station, however Ballston and Pentagon stations are not far away. Some of our guest prefer to use Uber/Lyft, they both service the property.

The property was built by our family in 1958. This is a mixed-use property. The building has a commercial suite on the front of the building and two separate apartments in the rear of the building. Once you enter the apartment you will discover that it’s approximately 970 sq feet of living space. The apartment has three bedrooms and two baths. It has a kitchen, spacious living room and a separate dining room with an accordion door should one wishes to separate themselves from the living room area and full-size washer/dryer. The apartment also has a lighted balcony if you would like some fresh air in the evening. This is truly a hidden gem within the neighborhood. Guest will have full access to the entire apartment. It will be just your family/close friends and yourself. Once you get settled in, we will reach out to check on you by the second day. If you have any questions or looking for recommendations on things to do, please feel free to reach out to us. Welcome to historic Green Valley community. Here you will find parks, along with playground/water sprinklers (summer only), bike ride share and walking trials. There are also four local churches, (with fifth one under construction) all within walking distance of the property. While private vehicles is your best option to commute to the city. We have had several guests that have enjoyed using the public transformation system. The Metro bus stop is located across the street. We have three subway stations within close proximity to the building. Crystal City station is the closest, however Ballston and Pentagon City stations are not far away. The Metro bus will take you to all of the subway stations. Some of our guest prefer to use Uber/Lyft. Should you decide to use Turo, let us know. There is a chance we could have one waiting for you at the property when you arrive.
